How to Experience Higher Spiritual Levels of Existence

HJ: Theory is a poor substitute for direct experience.  Theory can help one to better understand direct experience and, when needed, give it context, but it is not requisite for having the experience itself.  This propensity for theory and thinking can keep one from having a direct experience if over relied on as a source of understanding.  I should know, as this is something I have experienced throughout my spiritual journey.  Since I was a child, I have always been lost in thought to a certain degree and a big part of my journey has been about transcending the mind and its limitations.

When we overanalyze spiritual concepts, I find that we tend to make them more complex and complicated than they really are.  Furthermore, spiritual concepts tend to be difficult to explain in our limited language that does not necessarily have words to explain higher density experiences.  And further still, in order to have many  spiritual experiences, one must transcend the thinking mind, which makes it harder still for those who insist on thinking and analyzing things through before trying them.

Nothing is a substitute for direct experience and practice.  Learn as you go and enjoy the adventure.

Don’t Just Think About Spiritual Realities – Experience Them

Belsebuub, Guest Writer | Waking Times

Are you interested in the sacredness of the cosmos, extraterrestrial life, sacred geometry, different dimensions, astral projection, NDE’s, consciousness awakening, truth, and amazing ancient teachings and mysteries? So are we, but what do you want to do about it. Do you just want to keep reading, and, in that way, believe you know about them? Do you realize science doesn’t know what consciousness is and has no way to study it? Do you know that an atheist cannot prove divinity doesn’t exist, and that atheism is just a belief? What kind of knowing are you after? Don’t you see there’s a huge difference between reading about out-of-body experiences, or watching videos about them, and lifting out of your body and traveling through space in a different dimension? Why not experience a greater reality rather than just reading about it? Discover what science doesn’t know and cannot ever know. It’s your life; break free of the known and live.

There is more to reality than the human body can perceive, and to understand a wider reality requires more than academic study, as that is limited to what is perceived within three-dimensions and by the limitations of thought. To go further, there are latent faculties within the human psyche that can be developed, which give the ability to see what no eye has seen and hear what no ear has heard. An example of this is the ability to astral project, which is the ability to consciously leave the physical body and be in the fifth dimension or above. If you want to understand many of life’s mysteries and search further into its purpose, this is how you can do it.

It’s the way that ancient peoples also acquired higher knowledge. The sacred sites and teachings of the pastare not the simplistic invention of primitive peoples who wanted to understand their world by looking at the stars, creating astrological symbols, and then developing them to form the religious symbolism, teachings and myths prevalent around the world. Rather, they were able to bring their personal experience of higher dimensions into the world through symbolism and teachings. Initiations, for example, are not the creation of secret societies; they actually exist in the higher dimensions and act as a filter of knowledge, passing it to those who are prepared to receive it and keeping it from those who are not. This is where you find the true knowledge. It’s always hidden from those who are unprepared to receive it, no matter what intellectual capacity they have.

This is why this is not an academic study but one made through personal experience, where you can potentially experience the higher realities of life and death yourself. Academic study will only feed an interest, and its insistence upon three-dimensional proof for higher dimensional realities has led it into a blind alley. Whereas, a personal exploration approaches this in a different way, a way that says here is what you can find, prove it to yourself if you wish, it’s your loss if you don’t, not mine. And that’s how the imparting ofesoteric knowledge has always been approached by its serious practitioners who taught it.

An academic/scientific approach is used a lot by atheists to try to discredit religion (which has its own problems), and esoteric study in the name of supposed truth. It’s often combined with studies in consciousness, extraterrestrials, ancient mysteries, sacred sites, mythology, conspiracies, sacred geometry and cosmology. Although we share many of the same subject areas, and we value academic information, we are however aware of its limitations, and what we do is very different. We prefer to experience the higher realities, rather than being left with the emptiness that a purely academic approach brings, particularly at life’s end. We are very aware that personal esoteric experience leads to personal change and an enrichment of life, and we consider this to be far more fulfilling. Don’t get hooked into the allures of theoretical information that lead to emptiness inside and that are offered by people who have little or no actual experience of the spiritual subjects they are talking about.

Consider:

Have you tried being the consciousness you are by being aware of the present moment?

Have you felt what it’s like to leave the physical world and your body behind, to exist with just your psychology in the astral plane?

Have you stripped away your body, mind, thought and emotions, to be left with just you, the consciousness, in the dimension of pure consciousness in the illuminated void?

This is real; open your mind, and experience what is.

Imagine you had never felt angry, how much would you understand about anger?

Imagine your eyes had never seen, what would you know of sight?

If you haven’t experienced spiritual and cosmic realities, you wouldn’t know of them either, but it’s easy to confuse knowing and thinking when it comes to spiritual matters, and thinking alone easily results in a belief system.

In spiritual terms thinking is the result of thought, while knowing is the result of experience.

There’s a tendency to look up to great thinkers in order to understand spiritual realities.

But distinguish between great thinkers and great knowers.

Great thinkers are great at thinking; great knowers are great at experiencing.

A knower can think, but a thinker without experience is blind.

Thinking about something is different from experiencing it.

Therefore: think and know, don’t just think.

And don’t be misled by those who just think.

Experience spiritual realities, don’t just think about them.
