HJ: As has been impressed upon me lately, spirit speaks in general terms. This allows for the inclusion of unlimited potential and possibility, but it can also be confusing and challenging for those desiring definitive answers. In this vein, there are many paths to self awareness. In fact, there are an infinite number of ways to realize the self. As such, the (accurate) descriptions of the process of doing so will all overlap and share many similarities, however, they will all be inherently different, yet paradoxically all correct. It is important to be aware of this truth as you read the article below and any article on similar subjects for that matter. Instead of focusing on the specific descriptions/words/examples used to describe the stages of self awareness, try to extract the essence of what is being said. Another source may be able to elucidate or compress these Eight Stages into four or even three. Does this mean that one is wrong and the other is right? Hardly. [side note: it is important to begin to lose the concept of right or wrong as these are judgement calls and do not reflect the true perfection of the universe] Instead of searching for the differences in spiritual material, try to search for the similarities instead and so begin to construct a framework that works for you and aids your understanding of the divine nature of all-that-is.
I will offer this caveat: I am not encouraging blind acceptance of any material whatsoever. First, one must question and probe and intuit as to whether it is material that is accurate and undistorted. Once this has been clarified to a satisfactory level, then one can begin the process outlined above. Simply blindly accepting material because it is presented as spiritual information or appears on a site that presents itself as a spiritual site, is a major fallacy. Always, always, always use discernment. Always.
