If you play small and doubt yourself, that’s what it creates in your life and if you are confident and centered, then you better believe you’ll be happy and successful. So ultimately it’s a choice of perception. What you perceive becomes your reality and it’s your choice what to perceive. However, be warned that either way, you will see what you expect to see in the world.
By now you have probably heard that your brain filters all incoming sensory data against your beliefs and whatever doesn’t mesh is conveniently de-emphasized. Sure you will see it, recognize it, hear it, but your mind will subconsciously reject it and still choose to perceive only that which is in alignment you believe. Tricky bugger!
But therein lies its power as well! Simply change what you believe — rewire your brain — and you can then create whatever it is you want!
But for most people, that’s as far as they ever get. They conceptually understand this idea but they never change their beliefs or simply give up trying as they meet emotional resistance. Changing your beliefs is as easy as changing your mind, truly. However, only when there is no deeper emotional patterns attached to your beliefs.
That’s why it’s so important to let go and release all emotional patterns operating deep within your subconscious mind. These patterns are created every time we have an emotional response to a situation we find ourselves in. If it is a positive reaction, then it’s usually not an issue. Happiness, joy, peace, etc. rarely create resistance and keep us stuck. However, fear, doubt, anxiety, and so on certainly do. And it is these emotions that keep your limiting beliefs anchored in place. In order to make a permanent shift, we must first release this emotional baggage keeping us stuck. It’s simple enough, it just requires action. You actually have to do it.
Beyond that, it’s about creating new patterns, habits and acquiring knowledge, if need be. These are the easy steps as they are more straightforward.
