HJ: We can all benefit from a review of our thoughts, beliefs and perceptions, which dictate how we approach and experience life. For many of us, these patterns and mental constructs go unchallenged, which keeps us from accessing our higher divine nature. Until we make an effort to turn our mind inward and begin to examine how we think about ourselves and the world around us, we are essentially lost in the ego projections which our mind constantly spews forth. This distorts reality and causes us to become dissatisfied, unhappy, frustrated, judgemental and so on — what the Buddhist tradition refers to as suffering. I know I used to think of suffering as physical suffering, but the reality is that most suffering in this world is not physical, but mental. This is a far more insidious form, because we let ourselves become blindly victim to it. However, it can stop as soon as we want it to.
The ‘8 Wake-Up Calls’ below are intended to snap you out of your current way of thinking and get you more in line with your true divine nature, which is undistorted and based from unconditional love and joy — yes you CAN have this in your life, to the degree you allow it in. By examining your thoughts and beliefs in the context of the truths listed below, you can see where you may have erred in your perception. Correcting these distorted thoughts and beliefs WILL lead to greater peace, happiness and health. It will help you to live in greater alignment and move towards a more whole version of yourself.
