How to Keep Yourself Energetically Clear, Balanced and Centered All Day Long

HJ: Life can get intense and hectic at times, which is why it is so important to know how to keep yourself energetically clear, balanced and centered all day long.  Left unattended, we can end up feeling scattered, drained and emotionally shot after just a normal day out in the world.  While we might only be conscious of a certain level of interaction with other people and the physical environment, the truth is that there is much more depth and breadth to our everyday experience, especially in the more subtle realms of our existence.

Every interaction we have with someone is not just a verbal exchange, but a deeply energetic and visceral one as well.  If we are sensitive, we may notice feelings and intuition speaking loudly to us during the interaction alerting us to what is occurring on the more subtle, almost subconscious levels of our existence.  This is where we pick up energetic dross from others, the environment, EMF’s and anything else that operates at this level.  It accumulates throughout the day, affecting us in ways we are not always consciously aware of.

We may feel drained at the end of the day and attribute it to working hard or being physically active as this seems quite logical, but most would be surprised how resilient the body is and that in actuality it is not so much the physical or mental activity in a given day that makes us tired, but the energetic drains we experience as a result of interacting with the world.  By making a regular habit of energetically clearing ourselves throughout the day, we can often times address these energy drains as they happen and maintain high levels of energy — emotionally, physically and mentally — throughout the day, even if we are engaging in activities which are demanding and strenuous.

In the article below, Shems Heartwell outlines a clever and highly effective process for keeping yourself energetically clear, balanced and centered all day long.

How to Energetically Clear, Balance, and Center yourself.

Are you feeling stressed, overwhelmed or heavy?  Adding some simple energy clearing techniques to your daily routine can help.

Why?

Because, we are oftentimes unaware of the effects of the energy around us on our mental/emotional state. Day after day, our systems absorb stress, electro-magnetic frequencies from technology, toxins from food and our environment and the emotional energy of the people and places around us.  All of this can contribute to a sense of overwhelm, overload, fatigue, lack of focus & clarity, irritability, short-temper, and helplessness.

We are all energetic beings, far more sensitive than most people realize. If you want to feel clear headed, lighter and more energized, it is essential that you make it a priority to regularly cleanse, center and balance yourself.

What if I were to tell you there was a place where you were alone, 3, 4 or more times a day, in complete privacy, where you basically have nothing else to do but just be? Impossible? No, not really. This place is of course, the bathroom! While this might even seem laughable to some of you, think about it for a moment. If I said you would have to stop your busy schedule even just two times a day to change your life and even if I could give you provable results, how likely would you be to really follow through?

This is why I am suggesting you simply begin the following clearing technique the very next time you go to the bathroom. In that moment of privacy, whether you are sitting or standing, do the following:

Part 1: Clear Yourself.

Using your intent and focus, bring your hands up, over your head and as you relieve yourself, simply think CLEAR and wash your self. As you think ‘Clear’, bring your hands down across the front midline of your body. This action, while your body is actually physically releasing, is a powerful affirming process. The stronger your intent and focus the more effective you will be is releasing anything that you have accumulated.

Part 2: Be in Your Space and Present in the Moment.

Very few of us are HERE- 100% of the time – completely, totally, 100% present in body, mind and spirit. Would you be surprised to know that almost without exception your energy field can at any given time, be so far out that it can stretch from 10 to 100’s of feet around your body? This means that all the people and things around you can affect you! (This is why it can feel so good to be in nature, with the balance of clear energy of the elements and living ecosystems.)

The process of being in the moment and present in your own body begins by simply pulling yourself in, just using your conscious intent and focus. A very easy way to do this is to extend your arms out from your body, as if getting ready for a wide embrace. Focusing on that thought, begin to bring your arms in closer to yourself, enveloping and holding your own incoming energy. Bring your hands to your belly button (the Hara or Dan Tien area is the center of our bodies). Continue reminding yourself that you are ‘here’, ‘present’ and ask yourself to just ‘Be All Here’. This is youbring back your own power. Hold your hands on your belly for about 2 seconds and be in the moment.

If you are thinking about how you could have changed things, or done them differently, you are in the past. If you are thinking ahead, with thoughts like “as soon as I get this done, then I can go do that,” then you are living in the future. The most interesting fact most of us seem to miss when we wish to change something about our life is the only place we can ever create anything is in the moment, in the now. There is no other time for us except this moment. Do what you love to do as often as you can. Do your best to create in the timeless space of the moment. When you are in this space of creation, you have the power to direct your life.

Another factor in remaining in the moment is to BREATHE! Find and connect with your breath whenever you are anxious, fearful or feel you are not thinking clearly. If you do not know where your breath is: you do not know where you are. Just the act of drawing in a slow, deep breath will re-focus you and assist in quieting your mind. Three breaths can take you into a present moment space. Allow your breath to take you rather than you taking your breath without conscious awareness in that moment. Find the timeless space and state between the past and the future by being in the moment.

Part 3: Loving Yourself.

Many people have no idea what if feels like or means to be loving to yourself with positive attention. This is one of the miss-imprints that many people have been conditioned with from childhood, to be searching outside of ourselves for love and approval. We all need love and many people are always looking for love from someone else. This is how many people have been raised and receiving love is a vital nutrient of development and life. However, as we mature in healthy ways, we ultimately learn how to source our love from the inside out rather than the outside in.

You can practice this by cultivating a really good feeling inside of you.  A good memory of something that inspires and moves your heart – one that makes you smile? Perhaps that is when you are dancing, playing with your animals, riding a bike, running or walking along a beach, seeing a great sunset… any good memory that is of something you do that is about you – and does not involve another person. An experience of appreciating and loving yourself is best. Hold that good feeling within yourself for 5-7 seconds, until you believe it and can feel the experience in your body. This will support your nervous system to relax and stimulate supportive chemical messengers that nourish your body and mind.

It is the energy of that good feeling that can change your vibration in powerful ways – loving yourself just one percent more will change your vibration. That is all there is to it.

Repeat these 3 steps each time you go to the bathroom during the day and you will have consciously cleared and centered yourself four, five, or more times each day! Anything you do with conscious attention and focus every day will change your life. While it may seem too simple, try it for just three short days. Your life will change dramatically.

This simple practice will support you in many ways. When you are present and centered, all of your experiences can be more powerful and illuminating. Life becomes more easeful and flowing.  Rather than being automatically drawn into reactive interactions, you will be able to remain calm and at choice. You will be able to sustain a proactive state where you can choose how, where and when you wish to interact with others. Bringing yourself back into your own space will benefit you on every level of your life: mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually.

The best and most helpful state of being, (for ourselves and others), is to be unconditionally loving with ourselves. Have unconditional love for yourself – every aspect, whether you are tall, fat, big, or small. You will find and it will not take very long, within a few days or weeks, most people will start treating you very differently. You will actually experience unconditional love and deeper connections. You will be in resonance.

What is most important in life is not a matter of what you say anymore, it is a matter of being who you are, of walking your talk. As you become more clear, loving and present with yourself, the quality of your being will radiate out through the vibration you have become, people will respond differently to you and life will flow in more harmonious ways.
