Going Beyond Nutrition: Understanding the Energetic Vibration and Resonance of the Foods We Eat

HJ: There is so much more to food than proteins, carbs, fats, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.  In the West, this is predominantly how we determine whether or not foods are ‘healthy’ for us.  However, there is far more to food than nutritionists and mainstream doctors would have you believe.  All foods have an energetic signature (or vibration if you will) that have just as big of an effect on our health and even more so on our mind than their nutritional properties alone.  For instance, garlic is highly touted as an herbal remedy with a myriad of health benefits, and indeed this is one aspect of the plant.  However, it also disrupts the communication between the hemispheres of the brain and therefore is not really beneficial for anyone engaging in artistic/creative endeavors or those trying to meditate.  If I eat garlic before either of these activities I am borderline useless.

Chinese medicine has, over the millennia, developed a highly accurate roadmap to the energetic properties of foods.  The system has categorized the effects of food in spiritual, mental and physical terms as well as how they affect various organs and body processes.  In this way, Acupuncturists are able to understand the body on a much deeper level than Western medicine allows and therefore can understand health challenges from a truly multi-dimensional perspective.  Anyone interested in this aspect of food is highly encouraged to begin studying Chinese medicine.  This book is a great primer, but can accomodate advanced students as well:

You Are What You Eat: A new way to think about how to stay fit and keep yourself feeling good

By Elaine Seiler | Transformation Energetics

If you were a designer, creating a gorgeous high-style dress of silk and satin, would you consider adding plastic buttons or polyester trim?  Probably not! You would make sure that all the materials used in your design were of similar and high quality, and that they all were resonant and harmonious – at the very least you would choose a non-resonant item for a reason and with conscious intent. And yet we humans create our bodies every day, with no conscious thought to the harmony of the ingredients we put into our creation. Many of us consume salads, veggies, steaks, burgers, fries, donuts, chips, coffees, sodas, and juices with no thought to how these vastly different foods add or detract from the vibration we carry and project into the world.

Each of us has a signature vibration; each food you ingest contributes to that vibration. And yet, you hear nothing about the vibrations of the foods you eat. You are accustomed to choosing your foods for their taste, nutritional value, aesthetic appeal and/or caloric count. Aren’t you missing an essential factor?

You are energy
The foods you eat are energy.
The drinks you consume are energy

It would serve you well to pay attention to the vibrations of the foods you eat.  Let’s dig a little deeper.

Humans are clusters of energy waves, moving faster and faster all the time, moving so fast you cannot see the molecules dancing through space. As a human you have agreed to see yourself as solid forms through consensus reality. Everything you do and think, everything you eat and drink, in fact, everything you put into and around your body effects the overall vibration of your entire being.

You feel best when you are functioning at a high vibration.

Everything effects your vibration, especially your food.

As you move deeper and deeper into 2012, and as the energies become faster and faster, as they seem to be doing, it becomes more and more essential that you pay attention to the vibrations of the foods you eat. When you eat foods that have a high and rapid vibration, you are more able to hold a strong, healthy, exuberant and joyful state. When, on the other hand, you eat foods of a slower, lower frequency, you lower your vibrations and, wonder why you don’t feel quite so good that day.

Let’s take a look together at the vibrations of the foods we eat:

Foods with a high vibration:
Green leafy vegetables
Watermelon and fruits w/ high water content
Fish
Avocado
Grilled foods
Lemonade

Foods with a low vibration:
Bread
Potatoes
Red Meat
Cake/pastry
Fried foods
Coca cola
